Singin' In The Rain Shutters At Palace Theatre 8 June

Posted By

Singin' In The Rain will close at the West End's Palace Theatre on 8 June following a successful run that began in February 2012.

The musical, based on the classic Gene Kelly movie, will commence a UK tour prior to an engagement at Manchester Opera House on 13 November, which will be followed in turn by a Christmas and New Year stint at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

In a statement, show producer Rebecca Quigley of Stage Entertainment said:  "The first time I saw Singin' in the Rain at Chichester I knew we had to bring the show to the West End and, eventually, beyond. We've had a wonderful run at the Palace Theatre and everyone at Stage Entertainment is so proud to have been part of making it a hit there."

The production stars former principal of the Royal Ballet Adam Cooper in the Gene Kelly role of silent screen star Don Lockwood, alongside Stephane Annelli as Cosmo and Louise Bowden as Kathy.
