What's it all about?

You already know the Michael Jackson story, so this show doesn’t waste time telling you about the master of the moonwalk. Instead, Thriller Live gives you what you really came for – the music.

Tune after tune is belted out, from his early days in The Jackson 5 to his exceptional solo career. And the dance sequences are something else. It’s like seeing one of his music videos brought to life, complete with MJ’s trademark toe-stand, gravity-defying leans and, of course, the crotch grab.

You'll be left in no doubt that he truly was the King of Pop.

Who's in it?

With Thriller Live, you get not one Michael Jackson, but five – and one of them is a woman. Trenyce Cobbins certainly deserves her place among the boys, having reached the top five in American Idol. Meanwhile, her co-star Haydon Eshun (another Simon Cowell discovery) was hailed as the new MJ when he was just 9 years old.

And it’s lucky he’s that good because the songs he and the rest of the cast get to sing are the best in Jackson’s back catalogue, from 'ABC' to 'Blame It On the Boogie', 'Smooth Criminal', 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', 'Heal the World' and 'Black or White'. You even get to join in when they do 'Shake Your Body Down'.

Suitable for

If you never got to see the great man perform or are simply in desperate need of an MJ fix, this is the show for you.

Whatever your age, you’ll be thrilled to hear the songs you love performed live on stage – an experience matched only by the stunning costumes, dazzling dance numbers and all the singer’s signature moves.

What's the story?

This isn't so much a story as a celebration of the most successful entertainer of all time. And while Thriller Live doesn’t run through the facts of his life, you certainly get taken on a journey through music history, from Motown and blues to early indie and pop.

But the real story here is the one behind the show. If you think you’re the world’s biggest Michael Jackson fan, think again. Way back in 1988, Adrian Grant, the man behind Thriller Live, was so taken with the singer that he launched the world’s first MJ fanzine. Within two years, it had a circulation of 25,000 people, leading to an invitation to Neverland and a lifelong friendship.

Staff Reviews

If you're a Michael Jackson fan, you'll love the atmosphere of Thriller Live. The lead singers do an admirable job paying tribute to their idol, but lead singer Trenyce Cobbins absolutely steals the show with her powerhouse vocal. Although songs from his last two albums are omitted, you aren't disappointed as 'Thriller', 'Billie Jean', 'Bad' and 'Beat It' are all there in their glory. Act II is just superhit after superhit.

-Nat

The re-enacted routines for Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and Thriller were spot on. I did prefer it when the singers performed the songs their own way instead of trying to imitate Michael Jackson.  I think the dancing in this show is the highest standard I’ve seen in anything in the West End.  Definitely worth seeing.

What the critics say

Dance routines, featuring daring leaps from an on-stage bridge, break-dancing, and, yes, the moonwalk, are spectacular

-The Telegraph

Quite literally thrilling

Took my husband for his 65th birthday to see Thriller Live...he loved it being a Jackson music fan! Singers were great and dancing was excellent. If your a fan of 'Michael' definitely go and see the show and book through Theatrepeople.com who I will certainly be using again to book future tickets, have used other sites but this site is definitely best service and prices.
