Lion king is a amazing musical which everyone should take chance to see it. Very value!! Before I heard someone said it's for children while I went to see it, I think it's rumor. Anyway, the price is worth. Don't chose your seat after No.32..., It can't see anything.

The Lion King was fantastic. The special effects were amazing and you simply forgot that there were actors on the stage not animals as you were drawn into the story. A show for kids of all ages.

I was disappointed in the show, we thought the only singing voice that was up to the normal standard of a West End show was Rifiki. The show was not the spectacle we anticipated and felt the opening scene with Rifiki was the best part and after that the stage seemed empty and the cast looked lost. At some points it felt more like an amateur production than a West End production of one of the best Disney films in history.

This was the 4th time i went to see The Lion King...and it always is a magical experiance..i would go another 4 times.. However i did have a rude encounter from an ice-cream seller in the interval who was so rude to me when i was paying for the ice-cream she said 'no, give me the fiver instead, I'm not a change machine!'....Money is money and i was so annoyed by her rudeness it did spoil the second half because i was so wound up. The girl needs firing cos you don't pay £60 front row seats to have her spoil it.

An excellent show with most impressive style of production. A feast for the eye and a great day trip to the theatre.

I bought the tickets as a birthday present for my nephew who saw the show with his mother. They both thought it was amazing and really enjoyed themselves

An absolutely fantastic experience. From the opening scene right the way through to the final curtain the costumes, the acting, the scenery and the sound was marvelous. Most definitely a must see.

Just the best... I could watch it time an time again. The lady who played Rafiki and the gent who played Zazu just did it for me BRILLIANT. Also the way the cast interacted with the audience. The costumes, the scenery, the actors, the whole package. NOT TO BE MISSED!

I was taking three friends for a birthday treat. None of them had been to the theatre before and as I've seen the lion twice before I knew that they wouldn't be disappointed and I was right, even though it was bitterly cold we had a fantastic evening. Thank you .

FANTASTIC!! We took our granddaughter and she was mesmerised. She's never seen a London show before and this was an ideal introduction. It was a birthday treat and an ideal present.

This is a magical, spell-binding show! From the opening notes of the familiar disney score to the finale you are treated to a visual feast of colour and movement. The cast are fantastic, their voices hypnotic and joyful at the same time and the combination of staging, performance, masks and puppetry creates an outstanding piece of theatre for all ages to enjoy.

Absolutely wonderful! The actress playing Rafiki was outstanding and the rest of the cast was superb! The costumes, special effects and puppets were amazing - although we all found the actor's bright green costume distracted the eye from focusing on the Timon puppet, especially against the brown of the stage. And only spoiled by members of the audience who think that children under five will be able to sit through a long production and that it's OK to eat sweets from rustling wrappers!

The show was amazing, 100% going to see it again. From begining to end was just great. The Lion King is a must watch

I took three of my grandchildren to see the show this week. They are aged 10, 8 and 4 and all of them were absolutely riveted from start to finish. The four-year old had her hand over her mouth and her eyes wide open as soon as the animals began to enter just past our seats and she was caught up in the story from then on. This was the first time seeing real live theatre and none of them will ever forget it. They've been acting and singing it out in their games ever since. Please pass our thanks to every single member of the cast - they made it a truly magical experience. Five stars!

Very clever stage craft and visual presentation but words of songs very indistinct. Speaking voices and solos mainly clear but the rest disappointing.

I took my Grandchild and we both thought it was so colourful; superb puppetry, dancing, and singing. The sets were out of this world and we loved how they changed and wove around the story. The drummers and orchestra were great too and the costume designs were fabulous. Thankyou, thankyou!!

Absolutely amazing show. Both I and my seven year old son absolutely loved every minute of it. Unfortunately I made an error with my tickets and turned up for the 1930hrs showing and had actually booked for the 1430 hours showing. Fortunately the theatre were very understanding and gave me two seats for my son and I which were still excellent seats for no extra cost. The cast were talented and very amusing. No negative comments to make about any of the experience.

I brought my two son-in-laws and grandaughter the tickets for xmas and they thought the show was excellent, well worth the money.

It was very colourful and dramatic. The opening of the show was exciting and breathtaking. The portrayal of pumba and timone and the hyenas was excellent and very funny. The scene where Mufasa dies was very well portrayed and memorable. The ending was disappointing. Usually shows build to a crescendo at the end so I was disappointed as the beginning was excellent and the ending was like a damp squid. I expected the ending to have more energy and life especially with such a dramatic opening. Overall the show was very good but not fantastic as I had been led to believe.

Absolutely spectacular, the whole production was amazing.

Fantastic the costumes & the vivid colours created a magical experience that followed the Disney movie story very well, the singing was powerful and the portrayal of the animal movements were very realistic. The main characters costumes were simply terrific, highly recommended show for all age groups.

We had seats in the Royal Circle, J20 & 21. The view was very good, although perhaps a little far away for those with poor eyesight (opera glasses were available at £1), it was quite warm, so wear something light. The show is very good, the amount of effort put into the production is extraordinary. All the cast had good voices, with the standout performer being Brown Lindiwe Mkhize, who played Rafiki, she is a truly wonderful performer with a voice from the gods! Sitting where we were the sound was very loud and a bit shrill, but all in all a great night out.

Hi. We saw The Lion King on Sunday afternoon, what a fantastic production it was. Everything about it was excellent. I can't stop thinking about it and how it made me feel. I will be recommending this show to all my friends and family, it is worth every penny it cost for tickets and I will be looking to book it again.

We came to watch Lion King for my daughters 13th birthday. OMG!! It was the most spectacular show I have ever seen. The costumes were absolutely amazing. The show actually brought tears to my eyes. A good mix of comic and serious story lines. Timone and Pumba were so funny. Thankyou to all for making my daughters birthday one to remember.

We were a Family, the children were 9 & 10 and we all loved it !! the costumes were amazing, so life like. Our seats were in the Grand Circle and at first we thought we would not see any thing being so high, but all of us could see everything really well one of the best shows, perfect for the family. well done

This was an amazing show! The opening was excellent, and almost balletic. I loved the way they'd translated it from film to stage. There were a few changes - but nothing that took away from the production. Some of the ways that they changed it were really interesting and imaginative. I was worried about my seat - because I'd not been to the theatre in about 20 years - but I needn't have worried - the view was fantastic. I think it would be pretty much anywhere in the theatre. Finally all the actors/dancers were amazing, however in my opinion there were certain characters who were SUPERBLY cast. Soooo funny, my particular favourites were Timon, Pumba and Zazu. Anyway - It's amazing and I'd love to see it again.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I was very emotional and move to tears in parts. The animals were incredible and beautifully designed. We could not recommend it more highly!!! An absolute must see for all ages.x

I have personally not been able to attend this show, but I booked it for my mum and brother who said it was the best show they have ever seen! According to them the production was absolutely magnificent. Judging by their comments, I would rate this show as 5 stars.

The best show either of us have seen in a long time. I took my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved it! The costumes and stage are what make the show. An absolute must see!

We three thoroughly enjoyed the show. THE STORY LINE was evident from the narrative. The costumes were amazing, singing superb and a special mention for the conductor of the orchestra who worked his socks off. And a special mention for the two "drummers" in the balcony boxes....wonderful

Spectacular display of costumes, music, puppetry - quite an onslaught on the senses. Unfortunately the theatre was so hot we fell asleep for parts of it, and the seating was very cramped.

This was my third visit to the Lion King and I still found it stunning. I think the costumes are the best in the West End. It was truly amazing. The singing and dancing were fantastic and I would still like to see it again.

the show was amazing me and my 7 year old girl loved it and we had pre booked meal at maxwells bar and grill just around the corner and it was buzzing great food and service then stayed at kingsway hall hotel very posh great location and very freindly, will be doing it all again very soon thanks

Hi there, just wanted to say that The Lion King show was brilliant. Everything about the show was out of this world, from the singing and acting to the costumes and puppetiers.

Overall quite disappointed. Firstly the big plus point was the visual aspect - sets and costumes very good. But the show seemed too long - half way through the second half we suddenly felt a real loss of interest. The reason for this we think was largely due to delivery of dialogue, which suffered from a combination of rushed acting that just seemed to be links to the next visual extravaganza, and the poor audio system which left dialogue simply unintelligible (and we were in good seats). Consequently the real thread and emotion of the story was lost, unlike the original Disney film. Indeed, we were trying to make sense of the whole thing from our (old) knowledge of the film! So visually great, certainly looks good at the start, but this does not sustain your (or your kids) interest for 3 hours - because the story and emotion does not come through strongly enough.

My husband and I brought our two daughters to the show on Mother's day. It was a part of our eldest daughter's 16th birthday celebration. As our daughters love the film, The Lion King and they are well able to sing all the songs by heart, they absolutely enjoyed the show. It was worth choosing the aisle seat as the dancers/singers walked by us. The show was brilliant and fantastic. The costume, dancing, singing and music, everhing was beyond our imagination! It was probably the best musical production I had ever seen. After the show, our 16 years daughter said to me "Thank you mum, I will never forget about today!!" . It was rewarding and a great gift on Mother's day too.

After all the hype we were to be honest disappointed the children singers shouted rather than projected and the only thing that saved the show was the scenery and costumes

The whole performance was jaw dropping. For me the whole show was top class but the technology behind the Staging was mind blowing, I just wanted to go back stage to have a look at How they managed to make a stage do all it can do. I think its the first show I have ever seen where its the performance of the stage I will remember or that of the Actors, but that doesn't take anything away from their performance they were all brilliant.

Whilst I have seen some spectacular shows I was slightly underwhelmed with the show having very high expectations. As a show for young children brilliant Rafiki my fave in the cartoon was superb (Lady above) as was the young NALA. The young simba had an very average voice and acting slightly wooden and very london accent for Africa. the support cast was also mighty but set and ASM on show from my view took away too much from the visual effect. Solo singing amazing I wish I had space to dance for ensemble numbers but that theatre shine and momentum on leaving was not there for me. 8 out of 10. Those making their theatre debut (adults) steller performances

the show was extremely good, however not really suitable for young children as the lyrics were difficult to hear at times and the play a little dark. I took my grand children, aged eight and nine and they did enjoy it and really appreciated the stage set up and costumes.

FANTASTIC from start to finish !! would reccomend an aisle seat as set entre stage through aisle my wife loved the animals. only down side would be i have three children and would have loved to have take them.

Fantastic show - great story, great music, great costumes, great performances. We especially enjoyed the performance by the actor playing Rafiki. The show was a matinee, with a lot of children, and it was 'Rafiki' who got most response from the audience - even a little pantomime-like banter. But it was her singing that was most impresive, giving me goose-bumps, Both thumbs up for the show. The theatre was easy to get to, the seats comfortable, the view of the stage perfect, the staff pleasant. Only slight quibble with the theatre is my wife's experience of the ladies' loo, which didn't flush (but that can happen to anybody, at any time, so no reason to complain.)

This was an experience never to be forgoten. We have seen quite a few shows but this really is some thing different. The costumes and the special effects were just out of this world.

Brilliant. We took Jamie, 6. He used to get scared of the dvd, but he loved it. We flew in from N.Z. on 27th, and decided soon after to travel in from South Ealing for the matinee.

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show. The cast were amazing, the music filled the theatre and the special effects were thrilling to watch. We quite forgot that we were watching performers and not animals. Well done to all involved in the production which made a memorable visit to the theatre.

The show was fantastic from start to finish. Seats were comfy and the view was amazing. The colourful costumes and the outfits were fantastic. A lot of time and effort was put in place to keep you entertained and recommend anybody who is thinking of going Its A Must.

Lion King brought me back to my first animated cartoon i watched at the cinema. Cried at the exact same scene when Mufasa died. The actors were brilliant, their voices so powerful. Had goosebumps all the way through. The opening act was something so beautiful, never imagined Lion King could be brought to stage. Kudos from Malaysia.

Wonderful show. Traditional storyline but well played. Very impressed with those actors who portrayed the Hyenas - difficult multitask.

My sister who lives in Norway, who was over for a holiday, and myself living in Devon, saw the Lion King last Tuesday, what a wonderful show we had. From start to finish just brilliant. The music, stage sets, and the clever clever acting , we had never seen anything like it before and we are both approaching 70years old, we shall try and see it again.Thank you for a brilliant time

Fantastic show, absolutly loved it. Took my neice who is four and a half and I think she was a bit young, a bit fidigety and tired. Would suit a child who is 6 and above. But for me I couldn't fault it, would def go again!!

First visit to the Lyceum theatre, a lovely theatre, staff very friendly. The Lion King was a wonderful show. the costumes and special effects were superb. Throughly enjoyed the show. and even though we had the back seats our view was very good.

Seated in front row stalls Show was amazing we could even see the orchestra Animals ran past us down the aisles and up on the stage The singers were astonishingly good!!! Especial the lady playing rafiki!!!! Every song gives you tingles Every scene moves you Me and my friend had a night we'd never forget! *********A MUST SEE**********

A spectacular show!

I don't think I was actually prepared for how breathtakingly beautiful and amazing this was!!! there were some truly spectacular scenes and the great attention detail down to people representing the green and trees in the jungle which helped bring the whole stage to life and a lot of the voices were true to the film. I was spellbound from the great musical numbers to the wonderful brightly coloured costumes. Me and my boyfriend didn't even leave during the interval for fear we'd miss the start of the second half. As the show drew to a close the actors were greatly applauded and the whole audience seemed a little sad the show was over. we sat in row F15-16 of the Grande circle and had a very good clear view of the whole stage and didn't even need to use the little binoculars available in the back of the seats. Truly spectacular and will definitely be back to see this amazing show again sometime :D

This is the show to see. There are so many wows to talk about; the musical arrangements, the singing, the choreography, the props, the lighting, the child actors, the costumes and the songs. wow, the amazing songs. we must see this spectacle again.

The costumes were amazing and very realistic. The choreography brought everything to life and the singing was great. The boy who played the young king was superb.

The Best Show we've ever seen. Our Son, when asked what he thought to the show so far, said "Amazing, truly magical Mummy". It made our day. We were all blown away and will never forget the experience. Fabulous!

The show was absoutely fantastic!

OMG!! what can I say about 'The Lion King'? I cannot find an adjective to describe how fantastic the show was! My sister and I were gobsmacked by the whole experience-the costumes,the puppetry,the songs,the humour and in contrast the sadness of Simba's loss. We sat in the stalls and were so close to the animals as they moved down the aisles. The actors were magnificent.carrying us along with them,experiencing laughter,sadness and joy at the happy ending. Their powerful singing sent shivers down my back and the scenery was a feast of colour. The trip to the theatre was a special treat for my sister's 60th birthday and the memory will never leave us.All the talented people involved in this production should be so proud of themselves for providing such high-class entertainment and enjoyment for the audience! Many thanks to them all!

Wow. What a fantastic night,from the elephants coming down the aisle to the fantastic singing. The whole production was fantastic. I was there with my 80 year old mother 24 year old son and his girlfriend. We all are ready to go back and see the show again.. Wonderful.

The show was amazing. The actors and dancers were awae inspiring. I bought this as a treat for my husbands 40th birthday because he loves the lion king and I have 2 say it was the perfect choice. Words cannot express his joy at watching the show. I expected it too be good but I was blown away. Money well spent and I would have paid double what I did to see such a wonderfu show again. Well done to everyone who made the lion king live show possible.

The show was amazing, spectacular my Grandchildren enjoyed ever moment of it. I saw the lion king about 11 years ago and some of the effects had changed, was watching out for them which never happen, so a little disappointed.

We thought the show was brilliant in all aspects.

Unforgettable! The greatest musical for kids I have ever seen in London! I my self felt drawn into the show together with my kids, fulfilled with kindness, as if we actually were within the play, living the story on same level with actors. We got blown away by an astonishing ballet choreography, amazing voices, the life orchestra performance and actors smiles. Every one should see this play, both kids and adults. Thank you London! Within the first minute of the opening scene we were highly moved to the point of tears. A wonderful emotive, fulfilling, colourful show with the beautiful resounding harmonising songs of Africa capturing the essence of passion, power and most of all, love. The art of theatre at its' best. Well done and thank you.

Amazing! I took my husband and 2 kids 11 & 6, and we all absolutely loved it. The amount of effort which has been put into the costumes/ puppets really shows. The circle of life song was our favourite! We booked seats in the center of row j in the grand circle they offered a great view but if price isn't an issue go for the stalls. The seats have plenty of leg room even for my 6' plus husband. This is a must see show

I have been wanting to see Lion King for years and finally made it. It was absolutely amazing. I cried at least twice in awe of the costumes and the singing.

My two companions and I were all very glad that we went to see the "The Lion King". The performers, the sets and live music was all very enjoyable. It was such a good theatre play, it has made us all want to go to the theatre to see another play! We went for the first time as a birthday treat and can not say that we did not get our money's worth. Thank you!

The start of the show was stunning, the performance was filled with comedy and sadness, very entertaining a must for anyone of any age, my wife and I had a brilliant day out.

The visuals were spectacular. Music was excellent. Sometimes could not hear the dialogue, and it was clear from audience reaction that people below were hearing things which we were not, up in the Grand Circle.

The lion king was magical ! funny, sad and uplifting. the quality of the singing was just brilliant!

It was excellent, even though we were in the back row, the songs and performance didn't fail to overwhelm and amaze us. Most certainly recommended to everyone. Absolutely brilliant.

it was wow, wow, wow the show is magnificent, Excellent really enjoyed it 100 per cent. i brought my 3 years old now she asking when I'm going to take her to Africa.

The majority of actors played insincerely. Some of them sang out of key. Spectators were eating pop corn during the show - very cheapish atmosphere. Only the idea of the show was really good. I would recommend to go to another show unless you are a victim of advertising company - they spend a lot of money for that, but not on improvement of the show.

An amazing visual spectacle with stunning sets, costumes, dancing and from the beginning the animal cast passing through the audience was a great surprise. Some of the vocals however were not all up to scratch on a quality production with some songs sung out of key which really disappointed me. Also the delivery of a slightly stale script came across wooden and forced in parts where some of the gags fell flat with little response from the audience. Still this does not take away from the fact it is still a good show with some well known songs from the movie and therefore worth considering

Hi I went to see the show with my parents and brother.I thought it was wonderful and creative,it was funny and it was like hearing the film word for word. I think the best actors were zazu and timon. Zazu sounded exacly like the zazu from the film, the same goes for timon. Rafiki the baboon was excellent!a very funny charector and played very well. Simba was played well by both old and young actors. Very creative costumes made from wood and fabric, the elephants at the beggining wre shocking,how they got them to that size i dont know. Timons actor was wearing the best costume as the puppet was sewed to the green costume. the hyena costumes were really wonderful the way they got the faces and legs to work out! the pumba costume was well done and i loved the way that the man playing pumba was actually disguised as pumbas hair, excellent work! i think me and my family enjoyed the performance very much and we all thought the use of the stage and the stage set up was incredible. the way that they used the mini wooden puppets to show the chases and people with grass on them on their heads, it was outstanding! I could watch it over and over and still laugh and have fun watching! thank you and i hope you take in my complements.

I was prepared to suffer the show for the sake of my wife (it was a birthday present for her), but within 2 minutes I was mesmerised by the production! Absolutely rivetting and held my attention for the whole performance. Stunning production and well worth the money.

It was fantastic! So vibrant and spiritual and overwhelming! The voices were incredible, especially older Nala, Mufasa and Rafiki and the costumes, make-up, props and set design were so imaginative and creative! A must-see for anyone - you will be blown away!

Absolutely amazing and worth every penny. The singing, the music, the costumes, the stage setting. Everything was just so good.

It was quite magical and held all in the audience captivated! Not a child spoke, well only the one that cheered when the baboon anounced Simba was alive! Puppeteering and amosphere was amazing. No wonder its been going so long!

brilliant! We had Such a good time, and couldent believe the effort and colours that had gone into the costumes and props, we found the whole experience worth the long train journey, its only downside was the overpriced beer, but with it being westminster, I wasn't expecting a cheep pint.

This is the second time I have been with my Grandchildren, only 3 more to go. It really is the most fabulous show. A Theatre packed with children and how well they behave. I think it's not just the wonderful scenery, costumes and singing it generates an almost tangable energy and we all leave the Theatre on a high. Thank you all.

Missed the opening first song and was a bit disappointed but Hey! the rest of the show was entertaining, fascinating sets , costumes and sound effects. The singing was very good but did get a bit tired towards the end as it was a bit too long to be sitting for such a long time in one position.

Very entertaining,energetic and fast moving show. Costumes and animal costumes very, very good. Moving story well acted. Highlight when animals came down the aisle at the beginning of the show and the flying birds. Young actor who played Simba very good.

It was stunning, breathtaking, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, I cried. What an experience for me and my daughters aged 13 and 8. Didn't want it to end and even though we had the cheaper tickets high up in the Grand Circle, what a wonderful view (row F). Bought the special DVD/CD and re-lived it again this morning. Music inspiring, costumes beautiful, acting and singing superb. What more could we ask of a West End Show.

Fantastic. The set is brilliant, the costumes are amazing, the quality of dance and acting is superb, and the music is wonderful. The only problem is, with such a wealth of sensory experiences going on at the same time, you feel you might miss something!

Did enjoy, thought too long for 3 children with us, was it for adults or children, both doesn't work, sometimes difficult to hear the words, if you didn'ty know the story would have been difficult to follow, but the ever changing scenery, the 'people animals' were so good, and all songs were enjoyed, overall we all enjoyed the show and the splendour of the theatre and look forward to another show, thank you

What a show!! No words can appropriately describe the staging and production. If you want to be delighted and amazed by the staging and attention to detail then go and see this show. The Lion King sets new standards for costume, set and lighting. Musically it's a little weak, but the visible percussionists made it a little more bearable. The music supports what's happening on stage, rather than leading it. Overall it's a fabulous way to be amazed and entertained.

I havent done alot of theatres, but if they are all like this, then I am hooked. The show was fantastic!!. The staging, the backgrounds and Colors were fascinating. We had very good seats. We sat in Row C of the Royal stand, and we had very good view.

Brought the tickets to see this show for my husband's birthday, we both loved it! We would highly recommend going to see it for those of you out there that haven't yet. It's a great show for all age groups, but would say children need to be a minimum age of about 5yrs due to how long it is. The actors put on an excellent performance.

yesterday was my third visit to the Lion King and I can report that it was just as good as the first time I went, but possibly its time now to look for a different show to go to.

What a BRILLIANT show! I am still buzzing from the performance which I thought was superb... I took two teenagers and have to admit I was a little worried they would be a little blase about it but we all thought it was magical. The costumes, lighting and staging are utterly breathtaking and the cast was just wonderful. I wish I could go again, soon!

I took my elderly Mum to see this show for her birthday and was not disappointed. We both enjoyed it very much. The costumes are brilliant, my favourite was the giraffes. Good singers too. Very well put together and although I hadnt seen the film I kind of got what the story was about too. Well done to the costume makers and all thr cast.

WOW the show was awesome. Even my 16 year old son who wasn't looking forward to it found the costumes and effects spellbinding!

After spending most of the evening getting around the tallest person ever sitting in front, I had a wonderful time, the costumes, back-drop and the effects were to die for. My friend who was visiting London from abroad for the first time had an evening of a life time to remember!

I enjoyed every minute. Being a South African I am very, very proud of my country and hope my daughter will be part of your casts one day as she is doing arts at school and is taking part in the acting activities. I have been talking to friends at work about my experience and have became your ambassodor encouraging them to visit South Africa. Keep up the good work and thanks a million!

I thought the show was phenominal. I have seen it before but wanted to take my grandaughter of 9 years and we both enjoyed it

Awesome! Great show! However, spoiled by having to warn someone in the row in front of us to turn off their camera phone otherwise i'd report them! They were using the camera while the child actors were elevated and I was very concerned any flash migh cause the children to fall. More staff during the auditorium during the performance would help this problem.

My grandchildren thought your show was outstanding and the costumes were awesome. We all enjoyed it very much.

My 5th visit. Fantastic as before. Did notice there were less funny lines in the dialogue but maybe that is for the benefit of international audience during Olympics. Went with two people who hadn't been before and they were delighted with the music, the characterisation, the clever stagecraft and the mulltiple levels of meaning. Powerful stage show:I wouldnt go to a show more than once but this is different.

Fantastic we had aisle seats so the children felt very involved, especially when some of the cast stopped to make contact with the children as they walked past. This is a very clever show, the comstumes and scenery are spectacular, there is a lot going on, so even the youngest in the audience are kept entertained and enthralled.

Great costumes, good entertainment which kept our son of 5 years old entertained throughout. Seat was a minor problem for our son who kept getting eaten by it as his weight was not enough to balance it out without it folding back on him, no booster seats available or alternatives to resolve this, however it did entertain him for a while. Prices of drinks/programme we're very high, almost £6 for a bottle of lager and £8 for programme. We went 2 months ago to Disney World in Florida and thought this show would be similar but for anyone thinking the same its not, this one is a re-enactment of the whole lion king story and nothing like the very high octane entertainment there which had much better costumes/props and stunts.

The show was sensational for three generations of family

For my wife and I it was our third time to see the show with grandchildren. We were thrilled to introduce one of our daughters and three of her children (age 5-9) to the Lion King for their first time and to relive our first wonder through their eyes. Their comments justified our attendance and we ALL just loved every part of it. Such an incredible experience and we are still talking about it! Well done for stunning sets and very professional actors. Loads for adults and children alike. We are looking for an excuse to go for a fourth time!

Loved it! Everyone should see this show, I sat with my mouth wide open most of the performance, it was mind blowing. I love Africa and safaris, and the the way the performers moved the animals was so realistic you sometimes forgot they were human. I was advised by a friend to go for Stalls on an aisle...it was a brilliant suggestion! We chose our date to get these tickets (G9 & 10). Trust me it is worth the effort to get these seats :-) And if you haven't been to Africa...save up and Go.

I am a simple man of simple pleasures. I loved this show

The puppetry was excellent especially the elephant and giraffes, the sets and scenery were very good and the animals coming in amongst the audience was to me a highlight of the show. My 8 year old granddaughter was enchanted by all of it. I did feel the cost of the seats were expensive as £82.00 to sit at the back of the stalls seemed quite pricey also the cost of the ice cream and popcorn was way over the cost at comparative venues.

Fantastic, Amazing, Breathtaking!!! I thoroughly recommend this show. We sat in the 2nd row and my 2 grandsons aged 5 & 7 were in complete awe when an enormous elephant and an assortment of animals passed by them. They sat with mouths open watching birds flying high above them all around the theatre. I must say that we as their grandparents were equally awestruck, the enthusiasm of both the cast and the orchestra was beyond words. A truly wonderful afternoon we will never forget!!

Spectacular! Absoutely brillient. My partner and I enjoyed the whole production immensly. The costumes and puppets were innovative, the dancing, singing and even the subtle movements of each and every charecter was breath taking. My only confusion was why Timon's charecter/puppet master was green? You don't have to love or even know the classic disney movie to appreciate such a wonderful performance such as this. Thank you all for an amazing and special day out for my partner and I and we hope to visit the theatre again some time in the near future.

A very good show with some fantastic costumes and amazing stage scenes. We really really enjoyed the production. If I had a moan, and the reason that the whole experience does not score 5, are the rather cramped seats and the extortionate amount charged for the ice creams!!

Absolutely breathtaking! The costumes, the lighting, the effects were just amazing. A bit let down by the singing voices...not as strong and powerful as they could have been apart from that of the person representing the monkey.

My mum and I have seen several musicals and plays and we both thought the Lion King was the best musical we have seen so far! It was truly magical. The set design was fantastic and we were on the edge of our seats waiting for the next character to appear magically from the stage. The costumes were stunning and the actors wearing them really captured the spirit of the animal. The singing was sensational, especially the actress who played Rafiki. The children playing Simba and Nala were so grown up and also had beautiful voices. Overall the musical was fabulous, so colourful and vibrant! Absolutely amazing! The costumes were fabulous, the actors made the animals really come alive and I thought the whole production was extremely professional. It engaged the audience and having the cast come through the isles made it really magical. A definite must-see!

Although I was slightly dubious about the whole people dressed as animals,I was utterly absorbed in this musical from start to finish! It was fantastic and well worth seeing. My 11 year old computer geek son was mesmerised! Top show! And no problem picking up my tickets from the booking office,intact we picked them up 45mins before the show started.

Never been to a west end show before, found the actors great, but we had seats in the grand circle, not the best to book as you are looking down on tops of heads, but we did only book it the night before, I will make sure I get better seats next time.

Fantastic. We can't find the words to express our delight at such a wonderful theatrical performance. We knew it was going to be good, but it far exceeded our expectations. Still dreaming about it - must go again even at our age. Hope the grand-children like it as much.

Inspirational, exciting, Amazing !!!!

AMAZING SPECTACLE Enjoyed the Sunday matinee in the company of two grandsons, five and six respectively, granny and daddy. The production was professional, colourful and the music fantastic. Greatly impressed by the efficiency of Theatre People.Com in booking our seats quickly and posting tickets out to us in good time. Our only gripe, and it was significant, was the temperature in the auditorium - far too cold! As you will recall the heavens opend just before the show started and so everyone got to their seats in a damp and cold state. The aircon blew a chilly breeze all around us for the duration. We mentioned it to staff and they said that they were 'aware of the issue' but plainly did nothing. Not good enough really, particularly when we were supposed to be in hot, sunny Africa!

What a great show. The second half was really entertaining, first half a bit slow but the customes, talent of the cast and overall experience amazing. Kids loved it.

My wife and I enjoyed the show much more than we ever expected we would, the cast the performance and the imagination of the costum design was unbelievable!!!

I thought the lion king was absolutely brilliant! The costumes were outstanding and the scenes were recreated very well. I really enjoyed the film and the musical doesn't deviate from the film. All the actors were amazing! Will go and see it again one day.

Totally amazing, I even cried on the opening!! The whole production was fantastic as were the cast. Defiantly recommend the show to friends and family.

It was a great show and would want to take our grand children next time. Disapointed with the number of people using mobile phones to take photos and video, the attendant did have to point this out to a few.

The Lion King was by far the best musical I have ever seen! Even my 2 yr old who is naturally restless, sat wide-eyed at the stage, for the whole show right until the end. When the actors were taking their final applause my toddler was shouting "Again Again!" This musical would be enjoyed by any age, gender or race. It is totally universal and relates to everybody. Do yourself a favour and book now!

Fantastic show ! The talent on stage was impressive and the animal costumes were just amazing , never been so close to an elephant :D , also massive thanks for providing access assistance it made entry and exit so very easy.

The curtains drew open to show a sight beyond expectations. I was enthralled by the sheer magic created by each and every actor in the play. It was a collective effort that reflected in the flow of each dialogue, movement and response, holding us captive. We would absolutely love to get another chance to watch this wonderful play. The most admirable quality of this production was the casting of the main characters; Simba both young and old, Mufasa, Scar, Zazu, Timon, Pumba and Nala, which were portrayed perfectly and in sync with the film the play was based on. Scenes like Mufasa's death, Simba in the midst of a horde of wildebeest and especially, Mufasa appearing to Simba to return him on his path were unexpectedly depicted so wonderfully and brilliantly. The changing landscapes, the music and the songs created the right atmosphere for the audience. The orchestra also deserves its fair share of applause for transforming every subtle motion into wonderful melodies and setting the perfect ambiance for this marvelous production. Although not a classic Shakespearean play, I would definitely say that this is a play not to be missed by both young and old.

Five of us saw the show aged from 10 to 75, we all thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Scenery was very clever and costumes amazing.

What can I say but WOW!!! Adult and child actors superb, costumes wonderful, singing, dancing and all the animal costumes made this a wonderfully happy production and something I will never forget. I would recommend everyone should see this show.

It's the second time I've seen this show. The last time was 10 years ago and I thought it was just as spectacular. The music and costumes were outstanding and I would highly recommend it as a show for all the family.

Fabulous. Loved the colour and movement. very clever characterisation and choreography. Thought Mustphah's cotume head could be more dramatic.. The deeper messages /philosophy of the film did not come through very clearly. We had a wonderful evening. thank you.

This was my first experience of going to the theatre and I am so glad I chose this performance. From the start the experience was great, friendly staff at the theatre who were more than happy to help you find your seat from you. The performance was brilliant, it mimics the feature film well and gets the main points throughout the story. Great costumes and puppets, fantastic music throughout out. The performers were spot on. Timon and Pumba particularly impressing throught out. I would recommend for the whole family providing your children can sit for 2 1/2 hours through the performance. My six year old loved it. Highly recommended viewing

It was a 50th birthday present for my daughter & partner ,who thoroughly enjoyed it .

after the amount of years it has been running i never thought it would be so popular and may be a bit stale, i,m not afraid to say how wrong i was ..I found this show to be one of the most EXCELLENT shows i have seen to date, it,s entertainment value was outstanding, it has it all, story line fantastic, talent of all the artists involved amazing, (the children are wonderful) , sadness, thrill, and humour.....a truely wonderful show to see, highly recommend it...want to see it again, BRILLIENT SHOW ...

Incredible!

This is the second time I have seen the show and I think it is brilliant. I took my Granddaughter this time and she thoroughly enjoyed it. the animals coming down through the stalls was areal surprise for her and although only six she was enthralled for the whole time. Thanks for all the hard work.

My girlfirend and I really enjoyed the show, it was spectacular, it was definately worth getting lost in London to see it and we're even thinking of going again next year

The show was mind blowing, probably the best iv ever seen, the costumes were out of this world, would tell anybody who hasn't seen this show its a must see show.

The children were very good .I took my grandaughter who has been to Stage coach theatre school she was amazed withit.Wewere dissapointed with the end should have sang circle of life again It seemed to end abruptly

We took our grandchildren one aged 8 and one 15. The show was absolutely amazing. Anyone thinking they are not so sure you must go and see it. It was the best show I have ever seen and the children were captivated. I would go and see this show again and again. To sum it up amazingly fantastic!

Fantastically enjoyable for all generations - a truly amazing show - we loved every minute of it and came out of the Lyceum truly uplifted by the experience. Note: the Lyceum needs many more ladies toilets

An absolutely brilliant production! Fantastic costumes and colourful scenery that really captured the essence of the story. The singing, both individually and collectivey was inspirational. Superb musical accompanient by the orchestra and other performers. Really enjoyed the energetic dancing and lifelike movements of the wonderful animals. Amazing!

After so many years of trying to see this performance, I finally got to do it here in London! I live in California and was on holiday. Figured I had the time and it was worth it! The opening act overwhelmed me. I had tears in my eyes and a smile I couldn't contain! Bravo!

We thought that the show was amazing from start to finish! The costumes were fabulous and the singing was tremendous. I would recommend the show to anyone who wants a thoroughly fantastic experience.

This was my second visit to The Lion King but once again I was amazed by this theatrical spectacular with its creative artistry, vibrant colours, musical culture authenticity and the magical way it seems to have of drawing the audience right into the action. It was such fun and a real joy to experience.

Fantastic the costume's and scenery . Would have like the monkey to sing what we could have understood instead of mumbo jumbo little bit boring but otherwise great really enjoyed the show.

I have seen many shows in the West End, however, this show has to be the pinnacle! It was amazing, so much work has gone into this show and the quality was outstanding. We had a fantiastic time and would recommend it as a must see!

This was my fouirth visit to The Lion King and - as usual - the show was terrific - however, we did find a lot of the dialigue inaudible, particularly in the first half.

the spectacle was really superbe. My 2 doughters and my wife too were excited. in the grand circle the temperature was too high, this was the only negative feedback I can leave... but we enjoyed it in t-shirt!

Absolutely AMAZING!! I can not stop watching you tube clips of behind the scenes. It amazes me how the production is done so wonderfully. I loved it. I'm thinking of going again. I love how you sit their watching and believing these actors are actually lions and you forget their humans u believe in it so much! Incredible! Next time if I ever go again I would definitely book the seats closer to the stage because of the animals passing the audience when the show starts so I would love to experience that. But I still enjoyed my seats and the whole experience and so did the people I went with. Thank you.

Incredible! the Costume and Set Design worked so well together and the Music and Singing was so fantastic. The only negative was that the time flow by too quickly.

Every year we give our grand children a after Xmas treat and this one was a big sucsesses every one from the eldiest to the youngest enjoyed it ages from 73. To 5 the seat were very good we could all see it is a story that every one can follow singing and dancing very good 5 year old talked about it all weekend even thought he had been to winter wonder land after the show so thank you for a good weekend and being so prompt whith the tickets will book with you next time

I brought the tickets for my mum and her friend for her birthday , she came home to say it was one of the best experience's of her life. The colours were AMAZING , along with the singing and acting ect. She was amazed at how fantastic the show was put together and recommends it to anyone and everyone! I took my girlfriend there for a surprise birthday present and she was not disappointed! It was a charming and sometimes magical show. The set design and costumes were certainly impressive! The final battle could have been better but the overall storytelling was absolutely marvellous. I would definitely go again to share the experience with mire friends and family so I would recommend The Lion King as a performance everyone should experience.

Saw the Lion King last night- been to see most West End shows and think this one was the best. Just amazing, going to go again before it finishes in March!!

The Lion King was absolutely delightful. It is a feast of colour and creativity. The costumes and puppetry are utterly ingenious. This is a really magical way to spend an afternoon or evening. I feel lucky to have had the chance to see it.

Excellent! Would recommend it as a 'must see show'. My only regret is that we were not in the stalls, we feel we would have had a better interaction with the show, we were in the grand circle looking down on all the amazing staging. However, that a good reason to come as see it all over again!

The Lion King is an excellent show and very enjoyable for all ages. The seats in the Stalls were brillant, with the sound and lighting very good. The story and cast made it a great show to see.

The Lion King was amazing! It looked like to stay in a movie. The actors, the songs,the atmosphere, the colors, the dancers...everything unbelievable! The music is wonderful ..and I liked every single thing! People told me that was a very good show....but now I can say..I watched it and it is beautiful! Thank so much for the experience ! First time so nothing to compare with. The reason for choosing this musical was due to the recommendation given by several people and we were not disappointed. It was amazing the way the animals were created. Both me and my 14 years old daughter were entertained.
