What's it all about?

Is there anything sexier than the idea of dancing the night away with the beautiful people in the bars of Buenos Aires? Vincent and Flavia (stars of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing) and TV judge Arlene Phillips (So You Think You Can Dance) think not, which is why they’ve created this show that whisks you off to a world of Latin lovers, vibrant colour and irresistible beats.

And it’s not just a dance display – you’ll be caught up in a passionate romance too. So find out when your dance card is free and hotfoot it to see this dynamic duo.

Who's in it?

Strictly Come Dancing regulars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace are the undisputed stars of this show and you’ll be mesmerised as they cut up the dance floor with unbelievable skill and grace – helped along by Olivier Award-winning choreographer Karen Bruce (Footloose, Fame, Oliver!).

But what really brings the bar to life is the 10 excellent tango dancers who join them on stage, and the brilliant live music from Tango Siempre and South American vocalist Guillermo Rozenthuler.

Suitable for

You don’t have to be a fan of reality TV to enjoy this spectacular night of rhythm and romance. If you’re at all interested in dance, this is a great opportunity to marvel at two talented artists as they ooze sex appeal while skillfully deploying everything from Ballroom to Latin dance in their stunning routines.

And, like the 1992 film Strictly Ballroom, the show isn’t without its lighter moments, with dance-offs between the two love rivals and comedy antics from the barman and his wife.

What's the story?

For a show with very few words, Midnight Tango weaves one hell of a captivating story.

As the sun sets in Buenos Aires, temperatures rise. Join Pablo and Sofia at one of the liveliest bars in town, where you’ll be intoxicated by a riot of colour and an explosion of sound. But a dark stranger threatens to upset the rhythms of the night – and the couple’s relationship.

So can Pablo show Sofia what she’s missing by dazzling her on the dance floor or will the brooding mystery man sweep her off her feet?

Wow...What a performance. The energy of the dancers and the stories told through the show as just fabulous to watch. I sat on the edge of my chair and was spell bound from curtain up to curtain call.So great to see dancers at the top of their game. Loved the live music, costumes, and stage setting. Loved it all and didn't want it to finish. Well done every one, and thank you for a great nights entertainment. I have shared my joy of Midnight Tango with so many people.

The first act was a bit slow, although the dancing was tremendous. The second act was a blast with a hint of storyline and the dancing of all the cast was so fast I wanted to rewind and slow forward so as not to miss a step. If I was not 72 years of age I would start Argentinian Tango lessons tomorrow!
