What's it all about?

Haunting, chilling and beautiful, the critically-acclaimed South Bank Sky Arts award-winning production of gothic horror tale Let the Right One In transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season, following sellout success at the Royal Court.

The story of two misfit youths thrown together by fate, one of whom harbours an astonishing secret, it's an auspicious show to re-open the newly refurbished Apollo Theatre.

Tony and Olivier Award-winning director John Tiffany (Black Watch, Once) directs this major new production, which was adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne following the international success of the original Swedish movie and its subsequent Hollywood remake.

What's the story?

Oskar is a lonely boy from a broken home. He's bullied at school and is longing for friendship. Eli is a troubled girl who's just moved in next door. She never goes to school and is compelled to fill an eternal emptiness.

When a series of brutal killings plagues the neighbourhood, these two young misfits make a deep connection, sensing in each other a kindred spirit. But the shocking truth about Eli tests Oskar's loyalty - and love - beyond all imaginable limits, in this chilling tale of loneliness, love and legend.

Who's in it?

Martin Quinn plays Oskar and Rebecca Benson plays Eli, a centuries-old vampire who befriends him. Both reprise their roles from the play's run at the Royal Court, and offer up two of the finest performances you'll see on the West End stage this year.

The remaining cast includes Graeme Dalling, Angus Miller, Cristian Ortega and Susan Vidler.

Who is Let The Right One In suitable for?

There's copious gore, violence and shocks. The play has proved very popular with young people but please be strongly advised, it's recommended for adults and 'fearless teens' aged 13 +.

Let The Right One In reviews - staff

The music is spectacular and really helps to set the mood for a very intense production. The choreography is fresh and adds another dimension to the play.

The storyline is very gripping. It alternates nicely between darker, dramatic more sinister moments and touching, heart-warming moments between some of the characters

This show truly lived up to all expectations and more. Set and use of space was excellent
