What's it all about?

You remember the potter’s wheel, Whoopi Goldberg’s Oscar-winning turn as the hokey medium-with-heart, and most of all that gorgeous song from the Righteous Brothers. Now watch in awe as actors vanish before your eyes, walk straight through walls and jump from moving trains live on stage in Ghost The Musical.

This is your chance to immerse yourself in one of the greatest tales of undying love ever told, complete with the heart-rending chart-topper 'Unchained Melody' and original music from Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.

What's the story?

Sam is murdered as he walks home one night with his girlfriend Molly. But can this really be just chance when he has been investigating some suspicious activities at work? With Molly’s life in danger and Sam trapped in limbo, phony psychic Oda Mae may be the couple’s only hope.

The Oscar-winning writer of the original screenplay was drafted in to write the script, so you can be sure that everything you love about the movie remains intact.

Who's in it?

If you’re worried that no one but Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze can do justice to this classic love story, don’t be. Mark Evans plays the role of Sam, who has just wooed audiences in Wicked as leading man Fiyero, and Siobhan Dillon (3rd place finisher in BBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?) is Molly.

And Whoopi’s shoes are ably filled by Sharon D Clarke (The Lion King, The Shadow Line), who threatens to steal the show with hits-in-the-making 'I’m Outta Here' and 'Are You A Believer?' It’s no surprise that the tunes keep coming with rock legends Stewart and multi-Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard at the helm.

Who is Ghost The Musical suitable for?

The timeless romance and soaring music in Ghost The Musical make it the ultimate choice for date night, but it’s not just loved-up couples who will enjoy this show. Magic fans will also be wowed by the stunning visuals.

CGI is one thing, but you’ll be itching to know how they managed to create such seemingly impossible effects live on stage. Furniture flies around of its own accord and ghosts of the dead emerge right in front of your eyes.

It’s extraordinary sights such as these that make this one of the most enchanting evenings you’ll ever spend in the theatre.

Did You Know?

Magic Circle member Paul Kieve (Matilda The Musical) isn’t giving away any secrets about how he pulled off the show’s stunning feats, but given that he’s worked with TV illusionist Derren Brown, legendary film director Martin Scorsese and Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, he’s clearly got the magic touch.

Meanwhile, Richard Fleeshman (who originally played Sam) almost had to pull out of the show after a car accident. But there was a silver lining: he says the injury actually improved his performance by giving him an insight into what it might be like to lose everything in a heartbeat.
