What's it all about?

You remember the potter’s wheel, Whoopi Goldberg’s Oscar-winning turn as the hokey medium-with-heart, and most of all that gorgeous song from the Righteous Brothers. Now watch in awe as actors vanish before your eyes, walk straight through walls and jump from moving trains live on stage in Ghost The Musical.

This is your chance to immerse yourself in one of the greatest tales of undying love ever told, complete with the heart-rending chart-topper 'Unchained Melody' and original music from Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.

Who's in it?

If you’re worried that no one but Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze can do justice to this classic love story, don’t be. Mark Evans plays the role of Sam, who has just wooed audiences in Wicked as leading man Fiyero, and Siobhan Dillon (3rd place finisher in BBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?) is Molly.

And Whoopi’s shoes are ably filled by Sharon D Clarke (The Lion King, The Shadow Line), who threatens to steal the show with hits-in-the-making 'I’m Outta Here' and 'Are You A Believer?' It’s no surprise that the tunes keep coming with rock legends Stewart and multi-Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard at the helm.

Suitable for

The timeless romance and soaring music in Ghost The Musical make it the ultimate choice for date night, but it’s not just loved-up couples who will enjoy this show. Magic fans will also be wowed by the stunning visuals.

CGI is one thing, but you’ll be itching to know how they managed to create such seemingly impossible effects live on stage. Furniture flies around of its own accord and ghosts of the dead emerge right in front of your eyes.

It’s extraordinary sights such as these that make this one of the most enchanting evenings you’ll ever spend in the theatre.

What's the story?

Sam is murdered as he walks home one night with his girlfriend Molly. But can this really be just chance when he has been investigating some suspicious activities at work? With Molly’s life in danger and Sam trapped in limbo, phony psychic Oda Mae may be the couple’s only hope.

The Oscar-winning writer of the original screenplay was drafted in to write the script, so you can be sure that everything you love about the movie remains intact.

Staff Reviews

I thought that everything was really well done and very thought out. Every trick they used kept you thinking and on your toes. It is very funny, even though it is a sad show. The use of stage is amazing and the thought process behind this is brilliant. One of the best shows in the West End at the moment.

-Gemma

The special effects were brilliant - I couldn’t work out how they were doing it at all! The psychic Oda Mae was HILAROUS! I loved her! This is a great show for a group of girls wanting a night out or couples. It’s actually quite a funny production even though it’s a sad story.

-Rhian

Unlike about 97% of the female population of the Western World, I have not seen the film, so I had no preconceived ideas about the story or show. The special effects are the main highlight in the production as they are really clever, especially people walking through doors and being dragged to Hell. The music is really good and feels like a flowing work, not just individual musical theatre songs.

-Moira

Really enjoyed it. The special effects were very good - the way they switched dead bodies and had hands disappearing through doors was very impressive. Also thought that Oda Mae Brown was brilliant, and did Whoopi Goldberg justice. I could tell the people around me enjoyed it as they were on their feet at the end.

Customer Reviews

Very entertaining.

-Julie

Thank you for arranging the tickets. I went with my wife and she thought that I would not like the show because it was a bit mushy. However she was wrong and the show was brilliant and all the cast were fantastic. We both enjoyed it immensly and we may even go again as there was lots to see and probably needs another viewing to catch it all.

-Brian

The magic parts were very well done and certainly fooled us both. The music was was well sung and the actors all did very well but the songs could have been better I felt. The story certainly followed almost exactly the film which I saw several years ago. Seats were good for the show being not too near but near enough.

-Ken
