What's it all about?

You'll go crazy for this tale of a city slicker who tap-dances his way into a gutsy cowgirl's heart. It's got everything you could want from a musical - fancy footwork, colourful chorus lines, wonderful wisecracks and great Gershwin tunes.

After an acclaimed summer run at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park, we invite you in from the cold to enjoy this fantastically feel-good show at the Novello Theatre.

Who's in it?

You may recognise Sean Palmer (Bobby) from his role in Sex and the City, but more recently he's been making waves on Broadway in The Little Mermaid. Here he is joined by Clare Foster (The Bill's PC Millie Brown) as Polly and many other familiar faces, from Kim Medcalf (EastEnders) to Michael McKell (Doctors).

The tunes this lot get to sing are simply out of this world, and every single one - from 'Someone To Watch Over Me' to 'I Got Rhythm', 'Embraceable You', 'They Can't Take That Away From Me' and 'Nice Work If You Can Get It' - is a Gershwin classic.

Suitable for

If you're a fan of song and dance numbers, you're in for a treat because two of the biggest names in the business have helped make them sparkle. Stephen Mear (Anything Goes, Mary Poppins) based the stunning sequences in Crazy For You on the original choreography by the great Susan Stroman (The Producers, Oklahoma!).

But it’s not just a show for dance devotees. Crazy For You is an evening of pure entertainment that will lift the spirits and may even inspire a little toe-tapping of your own.

What's the story?

Bobby may be the son of a banker, but his dream is to take to the stage. Join him as he travels from Depression-era New York to down-at-heel Nevada, where he’s been sent to close down a theatre. Here he meets Polly and things start to look up... until she finds out who he is.

Can Bobby save the theatre, revive the ailing town and win the love of a good woman amid a flurry of misunderstandings, mistaken identities and missed love connections?

Staff Reviews

A must see show! Puts jukebox musicals and other cheap film to stage productions to shame! The show has a fantastic cast, great music and is pure entertainment throughout! Suitable for all.

Sensational show. The best band I’ve heard in the West End. But it was the dancing that really blew me away – the leading couple, in particular. If you like your musicals romantic with classic tunes then I really recommend this. It’s a top notch production full of great gags, dancing and those amazing Gershwin songs.

I was disappointed in our seats...ie we were that high up the tops of the casts heads looked great, the show would have been alright apart from that
