What's it all about?
Ballet Revolución is an explosive fusion of ballet, contemporary dance and hip hop from a company of supremely talented Cuban dancers and live musicians. They have already bowled over audiences throughout Australia and now they prepare to cast their Cuban spell on audiences in London for the first time.
The outstanding live band will perform popular hits from Shakira, Ricky Martin, Beyoncé and many more, while the phenomenal dancers display their raw athleticism and virtuosity in dance styles from classical ballet to salsa, samba and even martial arts.
Ballet Revolución is choreographed by Aaron Cash and Roclan Gonzalez Chavez. Cash is a classically trained dancer who has performed alongside the likes of Mikail Baryshnikov and Twyla Tharp. Gonzalez Chavez is one of Cuba’s most talented choreographers; he has worked with Cuba’s best known music and dance groups and choreographed international tours for hit shows Lady Salsa and The Kings of Salsa.

It was a very beautiful ballet, a real pleasure for the eyes. There was a lot of different music while maintaining a spirit of Cuba (Shakira, Gotan Project, Usher, Bob Marley, Cuban music), with ballet, jazz, contemporary and the capoeira. The level of dancing was excellent, it was fluid - the dancers made it look so easy! The dancers were very expressive and made the choreography come alive. The stage was perfectly used for solo, pas de deux or groups.
It was vibrant and intriguing. The cast of dancers and the orchestra were amazing. This is perfect for any young people who love music and dance.

The Ballet Revolution show was a brilliant experience, it is mind blowing with all the choreography magnificiently prepared, and the musical group heavily contributing to its success. My wife and I have had a very good time. However, in front of me, there was a couple so close to each other that there heads were almost touching, preventing me from having a proper view of the show and I had to move my head left or right to be able to have a better view, it was truly frustrating when two people are occupying only one place (by their bodies) without taking in consideration the people behind while leaving a big gap in the other side. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and will most certainly recommend it to family and friends.
