As London's Summer (and its bipolar weather conditions) sadly comes to a close, I thought it might be a good time to look ahead to the shows I'm most looking forward to this Autumn, as the leaves fall in London's glitzy West End. That should put a smile back on our faces!

Tonight marks the first preview performance of the West End premiere of Kinky Boots. The Broadway musical boasts a heavyweight creative team - Tony winner Harvey Fierstein (Book), Grammy and Tony winner Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics) and Tony winner Jerry Mitchell (Direction & Choreography) - and garnered an impressive total of six Tony Awards (out of thirteen nominations) at the 2013 ceremony.

Last night we were lucky enough to be invited to watch an exclusive dress rehearsal of the West End's hottest new musical – the 2013 Tony Award-winning Kinky Boots. Despite what the weather thinks, we are now in the height of summer - which can only mean that the new theatrical season is almost upon us. Unlike Broadway which has an official theatre 'season', using the Tony Awards in early June as a marker, the 'season' in London is a lot more casual. New shows usually choose to open during periods of change, where the ticket buying public are more likely to be looking for 'new' things to do.

One of my highlights of London's theatrical calendar is always the annual musical produced by the Open Air Theatre at Regent's Park. There have been some wonderful offerings in years gone by, including 'The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess,' 'Crazy For You,' 'Into The Woods,' and 'Hello Dolly!', and this year is certainly no exception.

It seems as if England is once again being swept by a wave of Girl Power fever at the moment... And No, we're not referring to the Spice Girls' Viva Forever! We're talking about Womens' football! The sport is finally getting the recognition, respect and media attention it deserves, as the England team (aka 'The Lionesses') roars on over the pond at the World Cup in Canada.
